Altenew June Inspiration Challenge

Hello again :)!

I want to share this card I've made today with you.
The inspiration picture at Altenew June Inspiration Challenge, which Debby Hughes is hosting, shows a beautiful bouquet. I tried to recreate the bouquet on my card.

I started by making a watercolor background panel. I smooshed gray, pink, green and purple DIs on a piece of Canson watercolor paper and stamped the flowers from Extra Special stamp set in Memento black. I stamped it twice, once after masking the end part of the stamp and then the whole stamp again under the previously stamped image. I then colored the image with Altenew Artist markers and Copic markers. I then gold heat embossed the roses and leaves from Amazing you stamp set on some Mixed Media paper, watercolored it using Koi watercolor and fussy cut them all.
I foam mounted the colored background panel on a creme card base.
I toned down the background by adding a sheet of vellum with a torn edge on the right side and then arranged the roses on that. I glued the small rose flat and foam mounted the bigger ones. The sentiment is from Amazing you. I gold heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock and added it on the left edge of the front panel along with a strip of gold glitter paper. To finish off I scattered some clear and iridescent sequins.

It is not as beautiful as the bouquet in the picture. It was one of those projects which don't work as I planned. Hope you enjoyed it though!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Seize the Birthday - No Topping

Hello again!  :)

I'm popping in to share my DT card for Seize the Birthday with you!
This time we have no Toppings option!!! Anything Goes! But you know already, our gallery is only for birthday cards :).

I've made a simple one.

First I stamped the Macarons from The Ton and die cut them using coordinating die. The colors I used are :  Pink (Rose Quartz, Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink Hybrid), Yellow (Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine, Coraline Hybrid), Light blue (Blue Diamond, Cali Blue, Cobalt Breeze), Red (Coraline Hybrid, Lipstick Red, Pink Derby) and Purple (Soft Amethyst, Plum Wine, Iris Blooms).

I found a mint pattern paper with silver foiling, cut it and foam mounted it on my card base. I added a thin strip of Adhesive glitter paper-Glossy fine Silver on the bottom edge of the panel. I then silver heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set on a strip of vellum, adhered it on the card and glued the macarons on the bottom edge of the front panel. The tiny flower cluster is from Beautiful Day Bicycle stamp set from The Ton, which I had already colored in my stash.

That's it from my side! Please hop over to Seize the Birthday blog! My team mates and our Surprise Party Guest Cathy from Cathys Card spot have created some gorgeous projects for you!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! Hope to see you in the Seize the Birthday gallery!

Guest Designing at Time Out

Hello everyone!!!

Today I have the honor of being the guest designer for Time Out #86 !
My CASE of Hannelie's beautiful card for Time Out #83 brought me this chance to be part of this challenge!

The theme of Time Out #86 is
Celebrations with the Optional Twist of One Layer Cards

This challenge is sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays stamps and for today's card I've used Floating stamp set, which was the prize I got at the 3rd Birthday Challenge of Time Out :)!

I mixed up the hot air balloon from Floating with a MFT bear. First I stamped the bear after masking off the lower body, then I masked the bear and stamped the floral balloon in Memento black. Coloring was done using Copic markers and some glitter pens. After done with coloring I masked the whole image and added the clouds using cloud mask I cut from some scrap paper and blue DI. I used Clarity Stencil Brush for blending. So I could blend the subtle sky on the bottom of the card:)!
The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.  I stamped it in Violet Fringe. I went over the sentiment with a violet glitter pen to add some sparkle. For the chevron I used a border stamp from Paper Smooches. I stamped it in Crystal Pewter from The Ton and drew over it with a silver gel pen. To finish off I applied Shimmer Pico embellisher on the tiny hearts of the basket and on the nose of the cute bear.

Thank you so much for looking! I hope I could inspire you with my card today!
You can find more gorgeous inspirations at Time Out challenge blog
Looking forward to seeing your projects in the gallery :)!

Have a happy crafty day, everyone!

The Flower Challenge #9 - Anything Goes Reminder

Hello everyone!

We are already in the middle of June and it's time for a reminder post for The Flower Challenge #9
It is Anything Goes challenge, so you can link up any newly created project, on which flowers are the main focus.

I've created a CAS looking floral card. My original plan was making a one layer card like one of my previous cards. I've got new Distress Oxide inks recently and I wanted to make the similar card like it using them. So I've made a background panel using smooshing technique with Oxide inks on some Mixed Media paper. And stamped the Anemone Bouquet from The Ton in Caviar Hybrid ink (Copic-friendly) and colored the bouquet with Copic markers keeping the colors of the background on the flowers. But I didn't like the background at all and so I decided to cut out the bouquet.

I die cut the Anemone Bouquet using Coordinating die and foam mounted it on my black card base. Before I mounted the bouquet, I adhered some multicolored twine on the bottom part of the card base and white heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set. A bow to tie the bouquet was added. I drew the black stamen using a black glaze pen and added glitter drops on the flower center using White Blizzard Nuvo Drops. I finished off the card by rounding a corner.

If you want to know which card design I actually had in my mind, you can watch the video tutorial for the Oxide background + Copic coloring by Kelly Latevola HERE.
Hope I could show you other project using that technique soon :)!

Thank you so much for looking! Please visit The Flower Challenge blog to get more inspiration from my team mates :)! And don't forget to join us!

Have a crafty day!

Have a Lovely Day

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful week so far!

Today I've made a card using the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #225. It will be a last-minute entry :).
I saw a square frame on the sketch and some flowers peeking out from it.

This is what I came up with!

First I've made a cutting file for the square frame welded with a vertical line. The anemones are from Fresh Cut Anemones Coordinating Outlines stamp set from The Ton. I stamped the anemone flowers in Tattered Rose and the leaves in Twisted Citron DI on Canson watercolor paper and colored them. I used Color Burst Peony for the flowers and Gansai Tambi watercolor for the leaves and the flower center. I cut them all with coordinating dies. I cut the frame from some watercolor paper with my Cricut and colored it with  Color Burst Peony too. On my black card base I gold heat embossed the sentiment, from Fresh Cut Anemones Coordinating Outlines as well, and added some gold splatters (I drew them with my brush- so it's faux splatter :))

I then assembled all the elements together. One leave was glued flat on the card base and the frame along with arranged florals was mounted with some foam adhesives. I added the purple stamen using a glaze pen.

I want to link this up at Addicted to Stamps and More #246 as well, as they have a Anything Goes week!

Kylie reminded me of the Happy Little Stampers June Watercolor challenge. I'll enter this into HLS June Watercolor challenge- Anything Goes as well :)!

Thank you so much for looking!
Wishing you all a lovely day!

For today's hop I've made two cards!

I couldn't resist to color the anemones from Fresh Cut Anemones with alcohol ink :)!

I silver heat embossed my anemone cluster using Fresh Cut Anemones Coordinating Outlines stamp set on a glossy cardstock along with some masking. I then colored the flowers and leaves by dripping the alcohol inks. I used for the flowers Raspberry, Flamingo, Salmon and Shell Pink and for the leaves Limeade and Botanical. I splattered Flamingo, Limeade and Gold mixative on the panel after covering the images. After the panel was dry I gold heat embossed only the stamens. I trimmed the panel slightly and mounted it flat on the card base on the left and bottom edges of which I adhered thin green Glitter tape. The sentiment on the banner from Basic Banners is from Penned Sentiments. I gold heat embossed the banner and stamped the sentiment in Noir. The fussy cut banner (you can use the coordinating die :)! ) was foam mounted on the card. To finish off I added some holo gold sequins from Princess Glam on the flower centers and some from Kiwi Smoothie and Glass Slippers here and there.

For next card I used Wave and Sunglasses from Sunnies stamp set.

You will love this Wave stamp set! It is so easy to create a dramatic scene using this layering stamp. I stamped it using Cali Blue, Azurite and True Navy on a A2 sized white card stock. I heat embossed the sunglasses from Sunnies set in Rose Gold and cut it out. I blended Crystal Pewter and Smoky Quartz on the frame of the sunglasses and adhered some vellum as the glasses and colored it in pink on the back of the vellum with Tombow markers. I stamped the sentiment from The New Pretty stamp set in ombre using AzuriteTrue Navy and Noir. I foam mounted the sunglasses on the wave and added some sequins from Royal Garden Party, Cotton Candy Puff, Pink Diamond and Princess Glam Couture Mixes.

I hope you enjoyed looking my cards today!

On my first card I'm using the Watercolor Wreaths and Watercolor Bouquet (incentive stamp with purchase of $200 or more)

My first card is in clean and simple style. I silver heat embossed the Watercolor Wreath on a shimmer card stock. I stamped the Watercolor Bouquet on a piece of watercolor paper using Zig brush markers, fussy cut the image and foam mounted it on the card. The sentiment from Watercolor Wreath was stamped in Noir on the Watercolor Bouquet. To finish off I added tiny sequins from Summer Soiree and pearl beads from Midnight Frost on the top of them.

Next is the Peony Terrace Background cling stamp! I colored one big floral cluster from the background image as my focal point.

I silver heat embossed the Peony Terrace background on a watercolor paper and colored one big floral cluster with Color burst. I made an ombre pink strip by coloring a scrap of watercolor paper with Color burst Peony and added it on the top and bottom edge of my card base. I adhered thin strips of Adhesive Glitter paper glossy fine Silver on it and mounted the colored panel on the top using some foam adhesives. The hello die cut from black card stock was stacked on black fun foam and adhered on the card. To finish off the card I applied Glossy Accents on the sentiment and scattered some sequins from Raspberry Sparkle Couture Mix.

My last card for today is featuring City Girls: Book Life. It's a fun set with endless possibilities to combine the elements! I've made a birthday card with it.

First I stamped the flower bouquet in light color and colored it with Copic markers. After masking the bouquet, I stamped the girl in Caviar hybrid ink, colored it with Copics as well, stamped the bold stripe pattern of the skirt in Azurite and added gray shade using Copic markers. I masked the entire image to blend the background colors. I used Cali Blue, Lemon Drop and Soft Garden. I stamped the extra hands on a separate white card stock, colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut them. The balloons are from City Girls: Special Day stamp set. I stamped them in Soft Orchid, Soft Garnet and Azurite, die cut them with Coordinating die, adhered silver thread on the back of the balloons and gave the girl the other end of the strings to hold. I die cut an offset circle from the pink front panel using Double Stitched Circle die, foam mounted it on the card base and added the sentiment from Basic Banners, which I white heat embossed on a strip of black card stock. For some bling I added a strip of Adhesive glitter paper glossy fine silver to the sentiment strip and tiny silver flowers from Candy cane Garden to the bouquet.

Seize the Birthday - One Layer

Hello and happy Seize the Birthday Thursday :)!

I'm popping in again to share my DT card for Seize the Birthday with you!
The Toppings option this time is ONE LAYER! I know for some of us it is a hard thing, but we like to challenge ourselves, right :)?

The idea of my card came from this video, which amazing Kelly Latevola has made for Wplus9! It is so helpful to watch her videos!!! If you haven't seen her beautiful card yet, hop over and enjoy! I have no Oxide inks yet, so I used normal Distress inks for my background.

To start off I colored the background by smooshing DIs on some Canson Bristol paper. I stamped this floral cluster from Hello Lovely stamp set by Concord&9th in Memento black. I then colored the image with Copic markers, added shadows with C5,3,1 and white highlights using a white gel pen. The sentiment is from Penny Black which I heat embossed in gold. To finish off I added some clear sequins.

The shimmer on the card comes from the pearlized water I used to dilute the DIs for background.

I hope I could inspire you with my card today!
Now it's your turn to create one layer project and link up at Seize the Birthday! Of course you may enter any newly created birthday card without Toppings option!
